Our outreach programmes aim to increase awareness on the importance of research to society, to promote interest in research and to enable young and emerging researchers to contribute to addressing societal challenges in Africa through quality research.

EGC Capacity Building Conference
The EGC conference is a free virtual capacity building programme launched by Qatar University, in collaboration with CORE Africa and other international partners. This programme is for students in the health sciences, and features a range of interactive talks on careers in the health sciences, advances in medical research and the importance of research in the health sciences. There are also opportunities to meet with professionals, specialists and mentors from various health fields including Epidemiologists, Biomedical Scientists, Clinical Researchers, Dietitians, Public Health Professionals, and many more.

Importance of research to students and society
In our most recent outreach activity, we addressed scholars and young entrepreneurs in Cameroon, educating them on the importance of research to society, and how research can be beneficial for their academic and professional development.
Research Challenges In Africa
We meet with stakeholders and academics at various levels to discuss our findings on the challenges that researchers face with conducting research, and possible strategies to address them.
Research-related careers
CORE Africa addressed Open Dreams scholars in Cameroon, sharing experiences from and potential impacts of its work in Africa, and encouraging young scholars to consider careers in research.
